Set Sail with Us on the Disney Magic

From the moment we, Misty, Shana, and Ivy, stepped aboard the Disney Magic in Galveston, it was clear this cruise would be magical. Sailing as travel planners gave us the perfect opportunity to experience Concierge-level accommodations, Broadway-style entertainment, and all the immersive touches Disney Cruise Line is known for, so we could share firsthand insights with our clients.

Day 1: Embarkation & First Night at Sea

Our adventure began with a smooth transfer from nearby hotels to the Galveston port just a quick 15-minute drive. Check-in was seamless, taking about 30 minutes, and soon we were walking aboard the ship for the start of an unforgettable voyage. We upgraded to Concierge-level staterooms, staying in a family veranda with all the perks: stocked beverages, snacks, a specialty coffee machine, and access to the Concierge Lounge, complete with complimentary cocktails and mocktails each evening.

That evening, we enjoyed Tangled, a Broadway-style production. With front-row seats, early entry, and complimentary popcorn, it was the perfect introduction to the ship’s entertainment offerings. Dinner followed at Animator’s Palate, a classic Disney Cruise rotational dining experience, where we experienced firsthand how Disney blends storytelling with dining.

Day 2: Marvel Day at Sea

Marvel Day at Sea brought nonstop excitement, from Spider-Man and Thor to Black Widow and the Avengers. We especially loved watching the Jack-Jack baby races, which had everyone laughing, and we also spent some time relaxing in the spa and the Concierge Lounge, a perfect balance of fun and downtime.

Dinner at Palo that evening was followed by a deck show and fireworks at sea a magical experience that never fails to impress.

Day 3: Port Day in Progreso

On this day, we decided to stay onboard instead of heading ashore, and it was the perfect choice. The morning began at the spa, with some of us enjoying facials while others relaxed in the Rainforest Room.

We attended a tea party in the Concierge Lounge, an elegant experience exclusive to Concierge guests, and spent the afternoon capturing photos and details around the ship the kind of insight we can pass along to our clients.

In the evening, we enjoyed Twice Charmed, a retelling of Cinderella, followed by dinner at Rapunzel’s Royal Table, where themed outfits added an extra layer of fun. This day was a reminder that staying onboard during a port can be just as magical as exploring ashore.

Day 4: Farewell Full Day at Sea

The final full day began with room service breakfast, featuring Mickey ice cream bars and warm chocolate chip cookies, a fun, fitting start to the morning. We then visited the Concierge Lounge for a meet-and-greet with Goofy and helped each other secure tickets for special onboard events one of the many added-value perks of Concierge and of experiencing the cruise firsthand.

Brunch at Palo exceeded all expectations, and we spent the afternoon at the spa and the lounge to recharge before the evening festivities, which included the ship’s final Broadway-style show, live performances in the lounges, and a farewell dinner at Lumière’s, the Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant.

The night ended perfectly with ice cream sundaes and 80s trivia, a fun and fitting close to a cruise full of unforgettable moments.
