We’re about to take you behind the scenes of a day we never expected to have, but now can’t stop thinking about. We did the Disney World VIP Tour, and let’s just say... our TikTok is blowing up for a reason.
If you've ever spotted someone at Disney being escorted around by a cast member in a plaid vest and thought, “That must be nice,”, this post is for you.
We didn’t think we were “VIP tour” people either. But after experiencing it firsthand, we’re here to tell you: it’s worth every penny. Here’s the full breakdown of what the tour includes, why it was so magical, and how YOU can do it too.

Wait… What Is a Disney World VIP Tour?
Disney VIP Tours are private, guided experiences led by Disney cast members who know the parks inside and out. Often referred to as “Plaids” because of their signature vests, these guides are essentially your Disney concierge for the day.
Here’s what a VIP tour includes:
Your own private guide (ours was the incredible Kaitlyn, more on her later!)
Lightning Lane access to almost every ride
Backstage park transfers in a private car/van (no waiting at the front gates)
Complimentary snacks and water
7-hour minimum (with up to 10 guests per guide)
Pricing ranges from $450–$900/hour, depending on the season
Yes, it’s an investment. But when you break it down with a group, it becomes more approachable especially if you prioritize the experience over deluxe hotels or fine dining every night.
Why We Booked It (Even Though We Never Thought We Would)
We’re planners by nature. Between us, we’ve done Disney dozens of times. But something about this felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment—and we wanted to see what it was really like. We also wanted to experience Disney at full speed without the typical stress, long lines, or constant clock-watching.
We had seven people, and with Kaitlyn joining us, we were a party of eight. We didn’t have her pick us up at the hotel to save time, we met her after breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace (which was delicious, by the way, French-themed, non-buffet, and highly recommended).
Meet Kaitlyn: Our Disney Bestie for the Day
Kaitlyn met us at Epcot’s International Gateway with the biggest smile, custom pins, and immediate “I’ve got you” energy. We handed her our detailed schedule (including snacks, rides, and TikTok trends we wanted to film), and she said, “Totally doable.” And it was.
She optimized everything on the fly, from ride order to timing snacks to navigating crowds.
She remembered all of our names within minutes and genuinely made the effort to connect with each of us. And when we say she went above and beyond, we’re talking personalized drink runs, surprise pretzel stops, and even keeping track of which TikToks we still needed to film.
Highlights From Our Day (AKA The Magic Moments)
✅ We Walked Onto Every Ride
From Ratatouille to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, Flight of Passage, and even Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we waited 0-5 minutes. Kaitlyn took us through Lightning Lanes, exits, and even backstage entrances like it was no big deal.
🎥 Content Creation Support
We told Kaitlyn we’d be filming a ton of TikToks and she didn’t just tolerate it, she joined in. By the end of the day, the girl who said she was “a little camera shy” was reminding us of trends we wanted to film.
🥤 The Viral Milkshake Moment
Misty had her heart set on a churro milkshake she saw on TikTok. While we were riding Guardians, Kaitlyn ran to grab it and surprised us at the exit, presenting it like a trophy. That video? It’s the one that went viral and it’s a perfect example of how thoughtful she was!
🥨 Pretzels Bigger Than Our Heads
We’d originally wanted pretzels from Germany in Epcot, but it didn’t fit our timeline. So Kaitlyn surprised us with massive pretzels and cheese after Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom, saying they were the exact same ones, just from a different location. Genius. And delicious.
🎁 VIP-Only Merch Hunt
One of our missions was to find the exclusive VIP tour merchandise: ears, Spirit Jerseys, pins, loungefly bags. Kaitlyn made sure we got to Magic Kingdom to shop, and we walked out with arms full and TikToks rolling.
Other Perks We Didn’t Expect
Private van transportation between parks (we didn’t wait at a single park entrance)
Complimentary waters and snacks throughout the day
Backstage access to areas guests don’t usually see
No stress lunch — we skipped a sit-down meal to maximize park time, and Kaitlyn made sure we stayed hydrated and full
Total control over your day — we customized every minute of our experience
So… Was It Worth It?
YES. A thousand times yes.
This was one of the most magical Disney days we’ve ever had. And while the VIP tour can be expensive, it’s an experience that pays off in time saved, stress avoided, and core memories made.
When you break it down by person and compare it to what you’d spend on Lightning Lanes alone, it’s absolutely doable.
Can Anyone Book One?
YES! You don’t have to be famous. You don’t even need to stay in a deluxe hotel. You just need a valid park ticket, a park reservation, and the right people to help you plan it (🙋🏻♀️ Hi, that’s us!).
➡️ You can request Kaitlyn by name when booking a tour. She’s from Utah and has been with Disney for eight years, she’s an absolute gem.
