How does The Pixie Planner work?
Your Pixie Planner specializes in finding you the lowest price possible, by doing hours of research to find you the best prices on all aspects of your travel. Unlike a traditional travel agent, we use a variety of booking methods to find you the best option. We provide a free quote for your travel, while also providing multiple options that meet the wants and needs that you provide for us.
What areas of travel do you work with?
We assist with hotels, park tickets to all theme parks, car rentals, hotels, cruises and even tours. Our specialty is Disney parks, but we love to help with travel all over the globe! We’ve helped customers with cruises, Hawaii, San Diego, and so much more!
How do you compare to working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner?
When you work with The Pixie Planner, you are working with Disney enthusiasts and experts, who have a passion for the parks. You'll find similar love of the parks from Authorized Disney Planners. While it is true that you do not pay a Disney Authorized planner directly, it’s also important to realize that their costs will assume that the travel agent will be paid. Due to this, the costs going through a Disney Agent will be higher than if the agent was not being paid.
Our fees are also included in the cost of your package, and in most cases, you will save money working with our team.
What does your price include?
The price you pay for your vacation includes travel advice and concierge level services. If you are traveling to a Disney park, we will give you tips to make your trip magical, including a complimentary meeting (in-person or via a web hangout) to plan your days.
For Walt Disney World, we will coordinate your Magic Bands and arrange for Mickey’s Magical Express to pick you up from the airport and bring you back. We will help you decide which days make the most sense for your trip. We will also help you find and secure dining experiences and ensure you know how to use your FastPass.
For Disneyland, we assist with planning your park days, ensuring you know how to use your FastPass, arranging dining reservations and more!
Ultimately, if you need assistance, we are here to help! It's all included and we are on call for you!
How do I pay for your services?
The way we work is we search for the best deals and only recommend hotels we know and trust. We add no more than 10% for our service (and most times there are no charges because we are reimbursed by the vacation provider- especially with Caribbean packages). The only time a fee is added is when we can get you a better deal overall by booking another way that does not reimburse us. Most people find they spend less than doing it themselves -and we can often do free payment plans including airfare. We are here to help with activity and transportation planning as well. We help resolve any issues that arise (like flight changes) and we are on call for questions while you travel. We also include all taxes and most fees. If a fee is due on check-in, such as parking or a resort fee at your hotel, we will alert you of those fees before you book.
We provide free airfare assistance when you purchase a package (such as a theme park ticket and hotel package or a cruise).
Do you price match?
We are happy to compare the price you have been quoted by a travel agent or website. In most cases, we can match or beat those prices. If we cannot, we will let you know so you can be sure you have the best rate. This comparison is free.
Do you offer payment plans?
Depending on the specifics of your package, we can work with you on a payment plan. We do not charge extra for a payment plan, but sometimes the best rate possible is a paid-in-full rate. Payment plans are available on trips over 2 months in the future, and all payments are due 30-45 days before you travel.
How do I know the terms of my package?
Before you book, you will receive a personalized Vacation Travel Agreement detailing all aspects of your vacation. We do not accept payment until you have reviewed and understand all aspects of your vacation terms.
The Pixie Planner cannot be held accountable for acts of God, unforeseen park closures, and other issues outside of our control. We highly recommend purchasing private travel insurance to cover any unexpected problems that may occur that are out of our control. We can help you with a free quote on travel insurance as well. If you ever do encounter any problems, we are always available to assist in resolving any issues that might arise.
